Kazuho Chasen

$45
In Japanese culture, tea-making is another form of art. Preparing a cup of matcha is more than just making a drink. The whole process is about slowing down and getting lost in the moment, appreciating the little joys in life.

Chasen, also known as Bamboo Whisk, is one of the essentials when preparing matcha. Kazuho Chasen is made in Nara, Takayama and it consists of at least 70 prongs. As of now, there are only about 18 Chasen Masters left in the region, carrying on the traditions of their family. Unlike mass-produced bamboo whisks, Takayama Chasens are entirely handmade, without the use of machines or chemicals.
