An all-occasion tea

Made by roasting Sencha leaves over high heat, Hojicha has a toasted, nutty flavour. Only the highest grade (first harvest) is used, resulting in chestnut-brown tea leaves that retain maximum aroma. Due to its roasting process, Hojicha is extremely low in caffeine and suitable to be enjoyed even before bedtime.

Preparation  5g (1 pot)     100°C, 200ml      15 - 30 sec
